Shoot Like a Pro With Your Digital Camera
Photography means: “writing with light”. This hand-on short course will give you a better understanding of how to use your DSLR camera and produce great photographs.
Instructor Nico Van Dongen will start with a brief overview of the history of the camera and photography and look at some of the most famous photographs and photographers. He will explain THE EXPOSURE TRIANGLE. What is; shutter speed, ISO, aperture and white balance. We will explore Different camera shooting modes, what light is, and how we see it vs how our camera sees it. We will discuss how to use light effectively in our photographs.
This class will also answer the following questions: What camera should I buy for the kind of photography I do? When do I refer to the camera manual? I will provide an overview of current digital cameras for sale; point and shoot, DSLR and their different lenses, lens filters etc. and interesting and educational web resources for photography.
