CourseGraphic City of San Mateo History Hike

The city of San Mateo has a fascinating history that goes back to the 18th century Spanish explorers. Join instructor and guide Tom Taber for a fun and informative course that combines history with a 4.5 mile walking tour. The convoluted route includes frequent stops to view beautiful historic homes, commercial and public buildings, and public art from the 19th through the 20th centuries. Interesting stories will be told and old photos will be shown along the way.

This tour requires moderate physical activity. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Layered clothing is recommended. Bring a lunch and drink. No pets on tour.
